The Steel Alternatives
Steel is a beautiful alternative to costly bronze and copper.
Besides the many steel designs illustrated on this site, all designs shown
in bronze and copper
are also available in steel, usually at about half the cost of the equivalent
bronze item.
Choose from several breathtaking steel patinas & acrylic surface treatments
(scroll down).
Loaner samples of the bronze and/or the steel patinas and finishes are available for a $25 deposit.

I think more subtle combinations could be tried using multiple colors that
are closer together.
