I still do business the old fashioned way - mostly. You have to pick up the phone or send me an email. Although I have a number of pieces that are available immediately, most orders will take a couple of months while I build it for you. This catalog information shows typical or illustrated sizes and materials. Most designs are available in your size and your choice of materials and finish. Scroll down for further information about pricing, shipping, etc.

Custom Design:
I welcome custom requests. Custom work is no more costly than standard designs. Special design work and redrawing will incur a small, upfront design fee. The fee amount (typically $300) will be applied toward the cost of the final project. You can expect to see renderings of custom ideas or sizes within 2 to 6 weeks. A firm price will be quoted at the time of presentation. Copyrights remain with Orth Furniture. The renderings I will show you are often photographic in quality and accuracy, so that you can easily understand the designs. Example 1. Example 2.

Material Shown:
Many of the materials and finishes shown are interchangeable. You might pick one design for your shape, but use another photograph to help define your materials and finishes.

Steel vs Bronze:
Steel can be substituted for most of the bronze items. The price for steel is usually 50% of the price for bronze - quite a savings justified by the 15 fold difference in cost of materials. Both come in several rich, natural patinas. Loaner samples of steel or bronze are available for $25 deposit.

Even if you are looking for a specific item, take the time to look through all the on-line galleries. If you are looking for a dining table, but instead you find a coffee table that you like, then the chances are that I can design a dining table for you with similar features.

Loaner samples:
Loaner samples of bronze, copperplate, or steel are available for a $25 deposit. Wood samples are made available for approval during the initial design process.

Individual Tear Sheets:
These pictures show detail and give information. Please specify item numbers (up to 4) and your regular mailing address. A tear sheet for the bronze Patina Selection page is also available. For best service, overseas requests must send $20 to cover Global Priority Mail.

Portfolio of Bronze Work:
If you are seriously considering a purchase of a bronze item, I highly recommend the complete folio of bronze work. It is available for $20 (shipping to most locations worldwide included). It comes with a $100 certificate good toward your purchase. The high quality images and easily referenced information will make your choices much clearer.

Delivery:
Generally you can expect delivery in 8 to 12 weeks from the placement of the order, but this will depend on the time of year and other factors. Please confirm your approximate delivery date at the time of order. We provide free delivery and setup within the Chicago area. Installation work will incur a reasonable fee. We have had very good luck with shipping all over the US. As an instance, coffee tables and console tables will typically ship for about $450 to points in Florida or California.
